My DH & I have been looking at full hearts on fire eternity rings:heart::heart::heart:. DH wants to go for the ring with bigger diamonds (great!) BUT my e-ring is .50ct with two .30ct pears. The diamonds on the eternity ring look almost as big as the centre stone on the e-ring (not so great). DH thinks they compliment each other but I'm worried the bigger eternity ring just makes my e-ring look weenie. What do you think? (thanks for any opinions).

In my opinion, if the stone on the eternity ring is larger than the e-ring this looks awkward. However, if they are close in size it might be okay.

The bigger question: Do you like the eternity ring??? If I really loved it then it probably wouldn't matter the size of the stones in comparison to my e-ring stones

edit* and who knows maybe in a few years after wearing this you and your DH upgrade your center e-ring stone?

Well I was quite happy with the smaller ring until DH suggested the larger one & that made me consider it. I think I would end up wearing the larger ring on it's own. I think I'm answering my question here but would still welcome any opinions.

I agree that the larger stones in the eternity band will diminish your engagement ring diamond if worn together. I would either go with the smaller eternity band, or get the larger one and plan on wearing it alone.

I think if the eternity band has stones that are so close in size to your engagement ring, it looks a little ridiculous. I've seen pictures of sets like that before and it looks poorly thought out. I would recommend wearing the band without the engagement ring.

If you get the larger stones, I would wear the band by itself. Do you already have a wedding band you're wearing with your engagement ring? I would continue to wear those together for some days and then on others, rock out the bling eternity band by itself.

id just wear it on my other hand ... i love my e-ring and i only want my wedding band (havent gotten it yet ;-)) and the e-ring on that finger. if my boy chooses to get me another diamond ring then it will live on my other hand.

My solution--if you go with this larger weight eternity band, wear it on your left hand with two plain bands flanking it (or your original wedding ring and maybe another to match) and move your e-ring to your right.

Personally, Iwould get an eternity band that went with my e-ring if I planned to wear them together.
