Looking for advice... I originally had a plain solitaire as an engagement ring and it was not my style at the time. My husband got me an eternity band for our 2nd anniversary and had the diamond from my solitaire made into a necklace for me. I don't really wear the necklace and am thinking to get the diamond made back into a wedding ring (yes, I'm aware I sound crazy!), but maybe of a different style. Any suggestions? Also, any recommendations for brands that make beautiful settings but will allow you to use a stone you already have? I don't know any jewelers and if I could get it set while I was present that would be ideal as I'm terrified of losing my stone or having it switched. Thank you!

Thanks :) And they let you use your own stone? How does that work? Do you have any favorites? My stone is about 1.5 carat round brilliant, F color, VVS2 for reference...

Tacori would let you use your own stone. The brand really sells beautiful settings. There is an entire thread dedicated to this brand. I do not know as much about the company as the members of the thread, so it is hard for me to recommend a particular setting. From my experiences of looking at the settings and talking to jewelers, the settings are well made and they use high quality stones.

There are very few jewelers and/or brands that will not let you use your own center stone. Check out Pricescope.com for more of the information you're looking for.

What's your style? We can help direct you to some settings you might like.

I'm not sure what my style is. I think I might be "classic with a twist"? I want something that will not go out of style, but not something so plain that it looks exactly like everyone else's. I'm hoping someone with great taste in jewelry can help me out :) Where on Pricescope should I look? (sorry, I'm new to this)
