Wondering if anyone has encount the same issues:

Have a tiffany rb e-ring flanked with a channel set band...the side stones got loose once in 2009 and yesterday when I went for a polish...same thing happened again!!! I could have sworn it was the same stone too....

So now they are sending it out to get tightened...last time the said they had to send it back to new york and that it would take 7 business day but then it came back in like 3rd day? did they really send it to new york? or is it serviced here?

Is this happening to anyone else.

I'm not hard on my rings at all and I have worn them for almost 8 years straight. Even the SA said they look fantasic.

Bummed to have to leave it for service again

If it isn't through NYC it's through their outside repair company. It's not totally uncommon actually, though this makes me wonder if it's out of shape somehow or there's something going on with the channels.

I have two channel setwedding bands. Both my erings have been channel set bands as well. With my actual wedding bands I have never had a stone loose in 9 years. In my original ering I had a stone that got loose twice, maybe three times, and they always fixed it while I waited. In my newer ering band I've never had a stone loose. It makes me wonder if it was something specifically wrong with that original e-ring setting. I don't think I was even in danger of losing a stone, it just wiggled.

Yeah, I don't like leaving my rings either. I think if it were me I'd have to decide if having the ring with me was more important, or Tiffany's warranty. Me personally, I'd find a local jeweler I trusted and have them take a look.
And yes you would think you would be able to trust Tiffany's, and you probably can, but I don't like my ring being gone that long. Also I don't like how Tiffany's ships "out of house" for repairs. Ame had TWO rings lost by Tiffany's (granted she's got a jinx on her...but still). I like places that do everything "in house".

I have channel set stones on my engagement ring and a diamond got loose once. It wasn't from Tiffany's, but I brought it back to the jewelers and they tightened it in front of me. Been over a year and still ok.

Lost??? Omg!!!!!

what happened ...what did you do to fix that situation?
We did get our money back. Eventually. The first time was after the sales person chipped the stone right in front of us and spent 10 minutes trying to blame US for it, and we kept saying I bet your camera would show otherwise. So then it was supposed to get shipped to NYC for inspection. They lost it on the way there, and then again internally. Then we finally got to see some new stones, they were sending the ring in for sizing and they lost the new one again. They kept lying about it. And that was the end. We just got our money back and never went back.
