I’m on the hunt for an empriente bag. Haven’t seen the Maida in person. I’ve always eyed the empriente artsy but I worry it’s a little dated. I lean towards larger bags and am ready for them to be back in style! Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Both are gorgeous bags. I personally love the Maida because it can be carried 3 ways: handheld, shoulder and crossbody. That aside, I think Maida is more practical whilst remaining classy and feminine. Maida can also go from casual to professional. Pretty wholesome if you ask me.

I've also seen the Artsy in person. It's a beauty, just too huge for my liking. I feel like my stuff will be swimming at the bottom even with an insert

The interior of the Maida is so pretty too. I went ahead and ordered it since it’s in stock. I used to have a Melie (corners starting wearing) and I loved the shorter shoulder strap along with the crossbody strap. They layered so well together.

I tried on Miada last week it’s gorgeous. It’s really well made, the front has two pockets. The back looks like it’s a pocket but it’s not. The interior is super nice it feels luxe. I think the artsy is dated (sorry artsy lovers) and when I tried on Empreinte artsy it just was frumpy and reminded me of a diaper bag and I don’t even have kids. The top also rests nicely in a hobo slouch/ dip if you want it to, even when zipped but the base remains structured. It’s hard to describe but if you try it on you will know exactly what i mean. If I didn’t own the Empreinte Melie I would get Maida absolutely.

I have the Maida in black. It’s a great bag !

I purchased the black Maida last month and I love it. As the previous person commented, it can be worn in 3 different ways but I loved how it could look super smart as a handheld but then I could just put over shoulder if I needed to be hands free. It is so well made and I have no concerns over the corners as although I don’t baby my bags I do look after them. I know Louis prices are getting silly but compared to canvas I think you get a lot of bag for your money.
In the UK I had never seen the bag out on anyone which I thought strange as to me it’s a classic Louis bag! I only found it by chance on the website & thought that it fitted what I needed eg a bag I could use when say out shopping, out for lunch but would be fab for travel too. I am so pleased I bought it xx
