Definitely looks similar to both. I've played with it in-person at the store, it's bigger than a Leowe Puzzle box, and the opening is more usable (I was surprised at the tiny opening on the Puzzle tbh). At 10k though, it's waaaaay more than either of them. My only concern about using it is that the strap isn't long enough for me, even to wear it as they show in the photos =(

I do like it though.

I like to too! It’s unusual and I tend to like unusual bags. However the price point is too high for my liking. I can think of other bags (even outside a b or k) that I would buy instead. I would consider it if there was a good resale price!

I forgot I started this thread! I actually fell for one of these in the Fall, walked into the store for a quick update to an order I messed-up, and a Blanc "Unicolore" model drew me in from across the store. Not only do I LOVE the way it looks in the complete monochrome white (with matching waxed edges and wrapped lock!), but it's actually been a really practical and easy bag to use. Toss it over your shoulder, cross-body over your back, shoulder carry and handle carry are all fun and functional. And it holds A LOT. Close to a B30 in interior volume, just without the extra height. I love the boxy shape which is somehow both squishy and structured. And it gets a LOT of looks. Definitely recommend one to anybody looking for something fun and different, but is easy to use.

It looks fantastic on you! I’m glad you are liking it. Since the opening is on a vertex of the “box’” shape, do you find it hard to get in and out of?

I love Hermes but Loewe does this shape better

I think from a stylistic perspective, most would agree with you. The Loewe Puzzle is definitely a lot more eye-catching and fun, but they each have their merits (the Hermès Emile is about as big as a standard Loewe Puzzle across most dimensions, fwiw). I'll leave out the price point, value, and aftercare services differences, it's just not fair, but here's my personal split on them:

In-favor of the Loewe:
  • the instantly-recognizable looks
  • detachable shoulder strap
  • constantly rotating colors and styles which are immediately available for purchase
Not in-favor of the Loewe:
  • smaller opening with the flap that just kind of seems needlessly in the way
  • the back zipper pull seems like it would rub a lot on the back of the bag and your clothes causing excessive wear to both
  • they start to look kind of sad if they're well-loved and get squishy from use
In Favor of the Hermès:
  • it can be worn in more ways (across the back or slung over the shoulder as one would do with a waste bag these days)
  • has a slightly bigger and more accommodating opening
  • more under-the-radar, but still modern and stylish
  • it's designed quite squishy but has good structure so handles the look well
Not in-favor of the Hermès:
  • the shoulder strap can't be removed and is stiff to adjust
  • if you use it like I do over the shoulder or across the back all your stuff gets tossed around a lot (small pouches are friends  )

Thank you! At first I will admit that, like any new bag in an unfamiliar format, it was a tad awkward, but now not at all. I don't like setting it down because it's white and doesn't have feet (and it's not small, it has the footprint similar to a B30), so I just usually take it off my shoulder, hold it by the top handle with my left hand, and open it with my right. The bag is structured enough that you can then just reach in while holding it from the top handle. Again, it's a tad awkward at first, but once you've done it a few times it becomes quite natural. The opening isn't huge, but the whole bag is flexible enough it will stretch to accommodate almost anything the bag can hold inside.

Wonderful analysis! it does look sharp too.
FYI the Loewe zipper is a non issue. It never even touches my clothes and the surface is as smooth as if, say a d ring rubbed against you. No sharp edges or anything to cause wear whatsoever. Many bags have rear zip pockets-pochette Métis being another.

Thank you! And the information about the back zipper is helpful to know...I can see myself getting one eventually (I looked at them pretty seriously this summer).

Thank you for the thorough review. I agree you shouldn’t set that bag down! I do think if it had feet it would ruin the look of the bag and it’s versatility.
