Embossed woven leather

I just received this adorable wristlet but I'm wondering if this is normal-along the edges where the leather is sewn together and folded it appears that the leather splits apart and looks paler under/between the 'weaves'.

Idk, but if this is new from a store try buying another to see if they all look like this. But in the end if you don't care for its quality, choose a different item.
It looks strange to me as well but I've never seen this before & I don't have anything to compare it to.
Hope you can find a better looking case that you'll be happy with!

I'll have to go home and look again at my new Toaster now. I don't remember seeing anything like this.

Update: Checked my woven Toast and it looks nothing like that at the seams, anywhere.
