elephant hair bracelets

I am looking at several safari, or elephant hair bracelets, and would like to know if any of you own one and would recommend it. I think I have narrowed it down to the classic heavy wt. 4 or 5 srand with 4 knots in sterling silver with gold filled knots. I also like the all silver ones with the silver knots. Please respond if any of you have any advice on coloe, number of strands, or light wt. or heavier wt.

The bracelets I am referring to are not made of actual elephant hair. They are made of sterling silver wire. I have no idea how the actual elephant hair is collected for the bracelets made out of elephant hair. I don't think I would ever be interested in the actual hair ones, although many hunters wear them.
