Hello everyone:

I wanted to ask if anyone owns the Edie 28 or if anyone has tried it on in store? I love the fact that it's a smaller version of the larger Edie but I'm not sure about the handles. I'm petite but I'm wondering if the shoulder fits comfortable on the shoulder or not.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you! That is helpful...but now I'm a little sad as I really did like that purse and it was going to be my first Coach purchase in about 3 years.


The larger Edies are just too big for me.

I tried this on the other day and you would probably use the long strap more, as crossbody or long on the shoulder. It has a cute look but is stiffer than the larger Edies. Also, no zip closure. Violet is a vibrant purple on that bag.

Thanks, everyone. I love the Edie but the last version was just a tad too big for me. I REALLY love the thought of a smaller version (such as the Edie 28) but if the straps are too short, it just won't work. :(

However, if the Edie 31 is smaller, then I would definitely consider it. I am excited to try them on.


P.S. I love the vibrant purple. :)

Just an update: I bought the Edie 28 and have worn it almost every day since then and the shoulder straps have loosened up a bit. I find the straps are snug around my shoulders but not too snug. I actually think it's fine and was worried at first but not any more. Will it work with a coat? Probably not. That's why I plan to use her as a summer/spring bag and I'm okay with that.

Truth is, I'm tired of large, bulky purses that just appear too large for me (I'm 5'1). Even though the Edie 31 is smaller than the older version, it's just too large for what I like.

I hope this helps someone who is interested in the Edie 28. :)
