Edging on back of Disco cracking

I just bought this purse two weeks ago and the edging between the top and back of the bag seems to be cracking already. I tried to moisturize it and it helped, but I worry it will eventually flake off. Is this normal with these bags? I own plenty of Coach and Michael Kors leather bags and have never had this happen, so I was surprised when it happened to a $1200 bag. I bought it from Nordstrom and they said they would exchange it no problem. It's not the easiest to catch on camera, so I'm hoping you can see it. Thank you in advance!

I can't see it but photos are not always the best at showing these things. it's not normal, and it's probably due to poor storage rather than the way the bag's made. Gucci can easily repair it but take it back now so you don't get told by the dept. store it's wear and tear

I can’t see it either but agree take it back. I have 2 discos, one quite old and have not had any issues.
