Does anyone have a guiding rule for what Hermes edging color should be on Kellys? It appears they often use black, regardless of color. I can't tell, though, if a dark blue bag also should have black edging or matching blue? For example, Bleu nuit or Bleu ink. If this isn't the proper place for this question, please point me in the right direction. Thank you!

They don’t match edging color. Wife’s Bleu Nuit has black edging.
Hermes has a weird secret formula for regular non SO bags which "dictate" the edging, and stitch for certain colours and leathers. It's one of the mysteries which contributes to all the many reference pages and discussions here and makes us all a little bit of nerds. Which we love. 🤭
Anyway edging colour cannot be changed for any type of order, so I would not worry too much.
