Ecrou being discontinued?

I really like ecrou. Its understated and so chic esp stacked with JUC. I heard that its being discontinued? How true is this and by being discontinued does that mean that the value will go down as well?

My Cartier SA in NYC Mansion mentioned to me last year that Ecrou will not be produced / discontinued. The question came up because I mentioned how surprised I was that the Ecrou was not as popular + I have a few higher priority items on my wishlist. I don’t know how accurate the statement was, but that is what she advised me.

thanks for the info KristinS! I was a bit hesitant to get another if it will be discontinued as i already have one and i think the “value” will not be there anymore once its not produced anymore. Im thinking of clash but might be too busy looking.

I just checked with my SA and she said she never heard that it will be discontinued. Hopefully she's right

I doubt it but that being said, the rings especially aren’t in wide stock in the US at least at the 5th Ave, Hudson Yards, and new SoHo locations.

In the luxery watch world, if a piece is discontinued it goes up in value . I think that the ecrou has enough of a fan base that if it were discontinued it might sky rocket in value.

Update: Went into Cartier for just a quick browse, but of course I ended up trying on a few pieces. The SA who helped me answered Re: Ecrou - No, it’s not discontinued … but production has been reduced’. At this point, the only thing clear to me is that nobody knows

I just got my Ecrou in yg and love it. My only concern is if it's too busy with the diamond juc. I'm still trying to decide but I love that it's def a piece that's different and edgy. And I don't take it off at all.
