A bidder recently asked for more photos of an item that I am selling on eBay, which I should have included when I originally posted the item, but ran out of pics. Anyway, I tried to attach an addendum to the auction with links to more photos of my item, but eBay won't let me. A message came up stating that I was limited to the number of items that I could sell to prevent fraud/counterfeit/blahblahblah, which is understandable, but I am not listing another item, i'm just trying to add more pictures so bidders can make an informed decision. What gives? Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Happened to me last week.. I was trying to revise an LV wallet listing & it wouldn't let me. It said my account had been restricted to listing a certain # of items within a 7 day period. Whatever!

You have to email Ebay & ask them to review your account & the restriction will be lifted. That's what I did. Good luck, I know it's so frustruating!

Okay, so I emailed eBay and asked them why I was unable to add an addendum to my auctions and here is the reply that I received:

Dear *****,

Thank you for taking the time to write to eBay regarding the restriction
on your account.

In order to maintain a safe trading environment, limits are
occasionally placed on accounts. A restriction was placed on your
account to limit you from selling, revising, and relisting certain
items.

Please keep in mind, you are not permitted to sell items on eBay bearing
the name or logo of a company if the product has not been made or
authorized by that company. In addition, the sale of counterfeit items,
unauthorized replicas and unauthorized copies is prohibited by law, and
therefore cannot be listed on eBay. Please note that it is the seller?s
responsibility to ensure that the items you are listing are authorized
for sale.

This policy also helps protect buyers from purchasing counterfeit or
fraudulent items and helps protect the intellectual property rights of
third parties.

As always, our goal is to keep the eBay marketplace a safe place to buy
and sell. Under our User Agreement, we may remove listings if they
breach one of our stated policies. Further, we may warn or suspend
sellers whose activities breach our policies.

I encourage you to read the information available on our Help pages
about why we may remove items from the eBay site.

I emailed them again and told them that I have all of the necessary paperwork and that as far as I can see (and I hope they don't pull my auctions because then I will be PISSED off), my items are still up. I just want to add an addendum telling buyers that they can email me if they need to see more pictures. How incredibly frustrating! Now I know why people are avoiding eBay.

I had the same problem with my bag that was listed had to phone ebay and they lifted the restrictions, but the restrictions go back on again once you have revised the item if you ever have to go back to the listing again.
Either give them a ring or go to live help on ebay. This is one of many annoying things that is happening now with ebay new policy

HELP! same thing happened to me. I've gone to live help, and they just directed me to an email address that I could use to email eBay. What did I get? Another "canned response", that didn't answer any of my questions on what paperwork do i need to provide to "prove my innocence", when the limits will be listed, etc. This is ridiculous. That bit about "we can't tell you what you did wrong cause it's internal information" - doesnt' that sound a little police state like??? Good lord. All I did was sell 2 Kate Spade bags (I'm a new seller) for 35$ a piece! Then I listed a Balenciaga, had a non paying bidder, we mutually ended the transaction and now I can't relist! I think the ban was put in place before the B-bag non-transaction happened, so I don't think that is it.... CAN ANYONE ADVISE PLEASE???
