Ok so I listed my lovely Kelly and had lots of watchers but it didn't sell. Of course I'm like on the war path with eBay for putting a restriction on my relisting it. What's up with them? I sent them a very negative email.

My question is can I sell my bag through paypal if I decide not to go through eBay? There were a few people who were interested if it didn't sell. How do I make it a safe and secure experience for me and the buyer?

If it's not a good idea I'll just keep my appointment with portero.

Thanks all who have input.

PayPal can be used for payments between any two parties who have accounts with PayPal. It doesn't have to be an eBay listing at all. I use it to pay my pet sitter, for example.

I think I saw your listing and if you do re-list it I suggest that you add a lot more pictures... all 12 that are allowed by eBay. You are pretty much a stranger to those who might buy. You've only sold 3 items on eBay. You need to do everything you can to instill confidence in buyers. They need more details on your bag. If there is "minor wear on the bottom of the bag" then you should show a picture of it. Use the "macro" setting of your camera to get good close-up views. You should also add photos of the interior and the corners. I would also show one picture with everything that comes with it. Your pictures are also too small. Make them as large as possible and pay the extra 75 cents for supersizing.

I wish you all the best of luck!

Also nattie, I"m not sure if you've been restricted on your sale of designer goods, but selling on ebay is one of the biggest pains anyone can go to, and no matter how many angry emails are sent there's a 90% chance of them not seeing it, so you're going to have to be persistent and keep calling and emailing them asking them to lift restrictions. If you want one lifted faster, have your items authenticated by MyPoupette (Yes i know it's like $50, but ebay should lift your restrictions pretty soon, if you plan to go down the reseller/cleaning closet route).

Hope that helps!

This is exactly why I wanted to suggest a charity based re-sellers market... At the moment, if you need to sell you bag, eBay appears to be the ONLY viable option. You go to great length and expense to have your bag / profile validated and you still run the risk of scammers buying from you.

eBay is going through great pains at the moment, pulling adverts right left and centre... for fear of fakes. Good luck in selling your bag - am sure you will find the perfect buyer.

I've thought about poupette but to sell one or two bags? Sounds like so much to go through just to sell her to buy my birkin workhorse. Sigh

Does eBay have a number? I would call the bajeepers out of them.

You know,i saw your post on the charity and wanted to respond but get typers cramp with my iPhone. I like your idea. As long as you can keep the fakes out who ruin it for everybody else.

eBay- it's like why do I have to pay to jump through hoops?

Listing a bag with a buy it now or best offer allows you to screen to whom you sell..Resellers generally cut your final cut down but aleast you generally won't have the hassle of selling...
