ebay has started to suspend buyers?

  1. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

    I am a small time buyer with 100% (43) feedbacks with ebay for at least 3-4 years. I always pay up immediately and leaves feedback after i received my items. I buy a varierty of things from clothes, to makeup, to bags.

    Recently, I got an email informing me of my suspension and that I am not to open any other accounts with them. While I receive this suspension, there are no on-going transactions. My last one was in december when I bought a purse insert.

    Strange no? I wrote to them and after 'reviewing' they decide to suspend my account and due to policies, they are not allowed to reveal why. Ridiculous no?

    Can you post the email you received? Just block out your name or user id.

    There has to be a reason!!

    I contacted paypal and they couldnt give me a reason or tell me why my
    account has been suspended. I do not know how to go about resolving this
    issue. As far as I am concerned, I am confident and certain that I have
    not violated any rules. If you think that I have, at least let me know

  4. same thing with paypal and as far as I know, I have no outstanding issues with them and dont know what they meant. I called and they couldnt tell me what's wrong. I have never sold anything on ebay.

  6. NO! absolutely no, I swear. My last purchase was the purse insert in december and I paid and left feedback. Never sold there.

  8. It looks like you aren't verified in Paypal. try making sure you are verified or contact paypal about verification. Thats the only think I see from the info you provided.

    I think I would phone them, demand to speak to a supervisor, etc.

    I wonder if it's possible that your account was hijacked recently?

    Please keep us posted as this is a new one!
     
  10. you know what? I dont even know if it's worth it anymore. I have tried calling them and agonising over it. Doing so again and making a fuss is only going to cause additional distress to me. It's so unfair but I am trying not to think so much about it.
     
  11. WTH! This is insane...the worst part is how, as usual, they don't tell you why.
    That's like getting arrested and put in jail without being told why.

  13. Talk about biting the hand that feeds them! They are already suspending sellers left & right, now buyers? The ebay world is going to crumble soon I bet....

  15. I'm not saying it's justified, but doesn't that tell you what it is/what you need to do? It seems like they're just trying to get you to verify/update your contact information.
