I want a bag, but the shipping is $38.00 (a bit TOO high, IMO) and this is how the seller explains the cost...

Please note that shipping charges also include handling charges and eBay fees. I will try to keep the cost as minimal as possible.
Is this even allowed? :shrugs:

Yeah, I think I read that ebay is including the shipping costs in their fees now, like robinscloset said--sellers were selling an item for like $25 and then shipping was $250.

But this is so unfair for the honest seller charging regular shipping, but seems ebay doesn't care.

Nope, it's not allowed. Sellers are supposed to add their fees to the cost of the item, not pad shipping. She'll get a rude little surprise when she finds out she will now be charged FVF on the cost of the item AND shipping combined.

No, I don't believe it's allowed. However, $38 isn't that high for shipping. If I ship UPS, with insurance and signature required at delivery, my shipping costs are easily around $30.00.
