eBay Bucks expiring and eBay having technical Issues

Hello all! Just to let you know that if your eBay Bucks were scheduled to expire today, eBay is experiencing some site issues related to that functionality. I attempted to buy some items today but the site told me that my eBay Bucks had expired. I immediately called eBay and the rep told me he had six calls prior to my call about the same problem. He said they would have to send their report to their specialist in Salt Lake City, and once they had determined a fix, they would contact us so we could get our Bucks back. It will take about 7 days, so I plan to call back if I don't get a response from them. Hope this helps!

You sign up for free on eBay and you get 2% back for all your purchases (quarterly). Every quarter you get your eBay Bucks Certificate and you have 30 days to use or lose it. You can use all or part of your certificate per purchase and you decide that at the moment of checkout. eBay will automatically apply it to your purchase invoice but you can take it out. Hope that helps!

I see someone answered your question. I found out about them after I had spent a TON on ebay this past spring/summer; it's a shame they don't let you know about the program when you sign on, or let it go retroactive. It only starts after you sign up. I would have had a HUGE certificate if I'd known about it before I did.

Does everyone get them though? I thought it was just a select few, you had to be invited.? Maybe they give them to eveyone that signs up now.

It's only 2%. But if you buy frequently or expensive items, you get nice amount of certificate every three months.

2% is good, and you paid using credit card via Paypal got extra point. Every 3 months I can buy extra item from these.

Just a quick update:

The representative from eBay emailed me today to let me know that they extended the expiration date due to the issues, and I was able to use it today. I hear so much about terrible customer support from eBay that I was pleasantly surprised at how well my situation was handled. Thumbs up to Marvin from eBay :smile:

I think they give it to everyone. I think they sent me an email and I accepted and within the last one I purchased a couple of items and they automatically gave me the eBay bucks. They say I don't get the certificate until april though...sucks because I would like to use them as I earn them
