Hi Everyone - I think the Birkin I really want (as my very first) has been listed on ebay. This seller is listed in this forum as reputable. What I 'm wondering is - is this a reasonable price for this bag? and, would it be offensive if I made an outright offer that's a little less than the asking price? Here is the link (it's soooooooo gorgeous!!!)

You mean the 13k buy it now price? I went to the link and it showed a winning bid of $3,250??? Perhaps they meant GBP??? I think $3,250 is a GREAT price. :confused1: I think 13k is too much of a mark up, but that's just MO. But if it's worth 4.5- 5k to you to get it now, then I say it's ok!! :upsidedown:It's all about what you are comfortable paying. I can rationalize pretty much anything!!!

It seems to be dollars but I don't think I've ever seen a 35 Birkin less than $6,000 unless it had a major flaw or issue. $3,250 for a 35 Birkin... if that is indeed US dollars I would say this was the deal of the century!

I'm sorry that it wasn't you...but do keep looking and don't be shy about making an offer. I was reluctant to do that for a very long time, but then I tried it a few times and it worked like a charm! I paid a price I was more comfortable with and I got the item. (Sadly, not a Birkin...) Don't worry, you will find your bag!

I don't think this bag sold at that price. The seller ended the auction early to the highest bidder at current price. I think a deal may have been struck off EBay which would explain the closing price.

Ladies you are absolutely right .... this authentic Hermès Birkin did not sell for the listing end price. I already had a buyer interested in this Birkin privately before I relisted the price and prior to communicating with the lovely Stephanie14, so was bound to keep to an agreement I had made with the first buyer.

You cannot possibly under any circumstances purchase such an authentic bag at such a price, this listing was re-jigged purely for documentation purposes (as my agreement was a private arrangement) for both the buyer and myself and the bag sold for its original listing price.

Hope this clarifies:tup:

As a purchaser of resale and vintage pieces who has gotten many great deals over the years, I totally, totally agree!!! Wouldn't that be a perfect world? :smile1:
