Does anyone have any ideas on a comfortable, easy-to-wear bracelet (white gold) under the $3k mark? I am not a fan of bangles because I work at a computer all day and bangles are not comfortable when I type. I do, however wear my Tag Heuer formula one, so something like that (e.g., chain/watch bracelet style) would be ok. I'm not a huge fan of a traditional diamond tennis bracelet (on me) so I'm thinking:
  • something chain style
  • with some type of interesting element
  • but not too dangly or with charms hanging
Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Do you want designer or non designer? I can't really think of a good designer chain bracelet that has unique/interesting design elements besides the Bulgari coin chain bracelets or the Verdura curb link ones which are definitely out of the price range. I know Cartier makes a few chain bracelets in your price range (the Spartacus, Santos-Dumont, and Meplat come to mind) but they don't really have a particularly interesting design features. Tiffany also makes a few gold chain bracelets but again, they are rather austere.

Are you willing to go the preloved route? Are you okay with buying off of ebay?

An interesting designer I like is Carrera y Carrera. I can't find anything in white gold at the moment, but here are a couple of bracelets in yellow... I suppose you could always have them plated, or continue skimming until something interesting pops up in white gold.

Frogs

Panthers

Swans

I know you said no to bangles... but maybe a cuff?

White gold Cherubs

If you could stretch your budget just a little, you could get a Van Cleef and Arpel mother of pearl or chalcedony alhambra bracelet in while gold.

I do have a thing for designer but I could get past it for something really interesting. I thought about the Cartier love cuff (which is out of the range) but I worry about the comfort factor. I live in St. Louis so we don't have a Cartier store, either, and my only opportunity to 'play' and try things on is when we travel out of town.

Thanks for the suggestions - keep it coming!

I really like the VCA things and wish they had more in white gold. I tried the mother of pearl not too long ago and just had concerns about daily wear - but maybe I need to get over it :)

I have a MOP magic ring and don't baby it at all. It still looks as good as the day I bought it. I have also heard the chalcedony stone is really tough and hard wearing.

I agree with MYH. I wore a MOP sweet butterfly bracelet for a year straight stacked with another sweet and it was fine. The WG and YG mop 5 motifs are so classic and pretty. I have the yg/onyx and it's my daily wear bracelet now. Very easy dress up and down. The chalcedony is gorgeous. Be warned though, VCA is a slippery slope of enticement. I have earrings and the chalcedony is on my wish list.

Here are a couple more suggestions...not exactly classic, but cute.

Asprey 3 motif ladybug

Asprey flower ladybug heart

I have a thing for ladybugs... I'm putting that 2nd bracelet on my watch list. :p

The daisy bracelet sounds to be worth giving a closer look :smile1:

We do have a Tiffany store in town so maybe I'll go check it out in person. I have thought about the love cuff by Cartier but my concern is the wearability (e.g., that whole computer thing and the feel of a bangle). I would be willing to stretch on price if I thought I could really 'wear' that one because I love the look.
