Easier than I thought? Saks buying process

I was looking for a sold out bag for my girlfriend for her birthday, it seemed impossible but I decided to call in to our local Saks. I was connected to the handbag specialist and she said she could get it and got my number. About an hour later she texted me and said Chanel had one in the warehouse and would have it shipped to the Saks flagship store in NY (I would get photos of the bag then and go into the local Saks to pay) then shipped to my local Saks where I can pick up. Does this all seem right? Maybe I just feel funny a little bit because she was able to locate the bag so easily after me looking everywhere and right on time! Thanks

I think you're very lucky to find an amazing SA who can locate a popular Chanel bag for you! ;) I used to buy Chanel from Neiman for many years but lately I've been buying from Saks due to SA relationship and inventory.

p.s. Hope your gf enjoy the bag!

I have had great luck with my SA in the NY store also! Don’t be afraid!
the only thing is that any reason u want it to be shipped to a local store for u to pick up instead directly to u?
Last time i get items fm Saks Ny within 2 days... i am in mid west

The SA said Chanel will overnight to the flagship store, then the flagships store overnights to my local Saks. I didn’t really have a say but don’t mind picking up. I’m in the Midwest as well, st, Louis! Not much designer stores or selection here haha

It could be because the NYC chanel dept is owned by chanel, and your store has a franchise chanel. It's sometimes a little more complicated to get things transferred. Or different rules, e.g., during the RTW sale, items obtained from the Saks stores where chanel owned the concesssion were not returnable, while at my local Saks they were. So I had to be sure an item would fit if I wanted it from the Chanel owned Saks departments.

I’m still waiting for the bag to get to the NY saks and for the SA to send photos just so I can make sure it’s the right one and pay, that’s the worst part so far can’t see the bag haha
