I'm curious what your thoughts are on Chanel costume earrings? I'm interested in purchasing the small cc ones as a Christmas gift, but I'm not sure about the quality.

Also, does anyone know approximately how much they cost in Paris?

TIA!

Thanks for starting this thread. I too am wondering about the chanel earrings and am considering a purchase of stud earrings. If anyone can post a picture and their review I would be so appreciative.

I have been interested in them too, they are so classic looking. I did read in a few posts though that the small CC Logo earrings have a tendency to lose stones. Anybody else hear that? Is it just the small ones?

I was able to finally found the smallest sized CC studs and love them!! I wear them every day. Mine are from 2007 pre-fall collection (made in France) and look amazing for being almost 10 years old!! I have also heard about the rhinestones falling out but hoping that it doesn't become an issue with this pair!

Assuming the stones/pearls were well installed at purchase, I believe the longevity of the earrings (prevention of stones falling out) is mainly depending on ensuring that you keep them away from exposure to cologne and oil based product. I spray my cologne on and wait a few minutes before putting on earrings. I also do not let them near lotion/oil based product on my skin. I believe those are the factors that help prevent them from having problems. So far my oldest pair (the classic cc pearls with champagne gold hardware) have been about a year and they're perfectly fine. It's modeled by my husband below - hey if it looks good on him, I guess it shows how nice the earrings can look on us ladies!

Here are some of my Chanel earrings so far. I generally gravitate toward more dainty ones like the silver moon cc with grey & white crystals below, but recently can't resist the silver hoops because they are constructed in a really interesting way where the hoops are naturally "angled" when worn with the crystal cc's facing forward.

Here are some other really pretty classic ones that I've seen from photos around the internet/past seasons posted by others that I liked, just to give some ideas on the type of styles Chanel made over time.

My husband bought my first pair of earrings for christmas. I got a rhinestone pair in the middle size. I couldn't wait & he let me open them & wear before christmas! I absolutely love!! They are so sparkly. I have had no issues so far with quality. Although, I heard if you do lost stones within the first year they will replace?
I think the mini size is so cute and everyday. But I wouldn't mind the middle size either. Just depends on your personal preference. I wear my hair down everyday so the middle is okay. It just peeks through. Not super in your face.

Hope you decide on them & love them [emoji173]️IMG_1482180399.775045.jpg
