Hi everyone! I started using xeomin on my 11s and forehead about a year ago. Obviously I initially tried it for fine lines and wrinkles but also noticed it relieved some of my headaches and tensions headaches. A win win! I have struggled for the last 25 plus years with migraines. High school and college were the lowest of lows with 20 plus days of migraines a month. I have since drastically cut my migraines down with food elimination (dairy & gluten intolerance) and the realization that sugar (any form, natural, artificial, fruit, etc…) is a HUGE trigger for me. I take 0 migraine meds besides over the counter here and there. So I was due for my next set of tox and decided to try dysport. I’d heard amazing things and I’m not dragging dysport at all. As we know different things work for different people. I always have a heavy feeling or headache a day or 2 following but this last month has horrible post dysport. I normally have 1 or 2 bad headache days a month followed by a migraine hangover the next day and that is it. This month it’s been every other day and migraines, aura, light sensitivity for days on end. I haven’t changed anything else and tried nothing new. The pain is also in my eyes, forehead and eyebrows. Thankfully my face looks fine but I am suffering. I guess I’m coming in here to see if anyone else has had anything similar? I have about 2 months left until it hopefully leaves my system. And I think I’ll definitely take some time to detox my body and go from there in regards to trying my old tox again. And please no debates on whether or not Botox is bad for you.

Oh no, I am so sorry. I’ve always heard that Botox and DY sport help with migraines. I don’t have this issue, but my dermatologist (board certified in laser, cosmetic, and MOHS surgery and also teaches other physicians re these neuromodulator treatments) injects in multiple spots around the face. Not sure if that might help. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you! :flowers: My injector is wonderful and very skilled so thankfully I know that is not the issue. Hopefully it passes sooner than later and all gets back to normal. Fingers crossed

Have you asked your injector if this could be a side effect, or if any other clients have had anything similar? Sorry you are struggling..that sounds terrible.

Good idea to reach out to her! Don’t know why I didn’t think of that. Definitely thinking it’s reaction as headaches are listed as the main reaction for dysport, Botox, etc…

@forgetmenot301 , do update if your Dr comes up with anything that helps you. I’m sure your thread would be important to others. Hope you feel better soon! :flowers:
Thank you! Spoke with her today. Unfortunately nothing we can do the speed up the process or ”dissolve” the dysport. She hasn’t personally seen this response but has seen allergic reactions, etc… clearly this form of Botox is just triggering my migraine response for some reason. So I’m going to just try to safely speed up the metabolizing process the best I can (sweating using the sauna & exercise when I’m feeling good as well as lots of water). I will of course keep you guys updated. Hoping no one else has this experience. Self inflicted pain is the worst

First off, it's great that you found some relief with Xeomin and managed to reduce your migraine frequency through food elimination. That's a significant achievement!

It's true that different neurotoxins can have varying effects on individuals, and it seems like Dysport might not agree with your system as well as Xeomin did. The headaches and migraines you've been experiencing sound really challenging.

While I can't provide any medical advice, it's always a good idea to discuss your symptoms with a medical professional or the practitioner who administered the Dysport. They might have some insights or recommendations to help you through this period.

hopefully, things will improve for you soon

Yepp me too.
Horrible reaction from Dysport and Allergan and even developed some strange line on my forehead.
Will never try anything but Xeomin again. I had a nightmare 6 months when I tried both - Allergan and Dysport. I also looked bad because it didn’t work well for me, and I had to wait for it to dissolve

So glad I wasn’t alone but I’m so sorry you experienced this too! My dysport has pretty much 100% worn off. And without a doubt I know that’s what it is because the constant pain is also gone. I booked another appointment to do Xeomin in a month and hoping it works the way it always did for me in the past. Going to start with a lower amount of Xeomin and see how that goes. Fingers crossed and welcome to the dysport pain club I guess… :drinks:

Yeah for me it happened in Dubai 2021, when things closed down and I had to try a new doctor.
When I went back using Xeomin, everything was fine again. I also felt kind of sick from the massive headache on allergan/dysport. They also just didnt work, I had to try both within a month.

As you I felt it inside the eye and it made me very irritated.

Doctors said „oh that’s not the product, nobody ever had this issue!“ But you just know.
Trust your own intuition because some things just aren’t good for everyone. Many doctors are really stu…..

You know what

Hi there! I just came across this thread and wanted to share that I had a similar reaction to dysport when I tried it years ago! The headaches were so bad that I never used any form of neurotoxin after that. You are definitely not alone in this type of reaction. I am happy to hear the pain has resolved.

Xeomin is the most safe it seems. I will never try something else again
