dying hair in the summer...

i have been dying my hair dark brown since about september. the color has faded SO much and is almost back to my natural mousy brown hair (which i dont like at all..). i was wondering if its stupid to dye my hair now, because i am outside a lot in the summer, and im worrying about it fading. it seems like its a waste of money to dye my hair if it will just fade out...thoughts?

If I'm out in the sun such as by the pool or yardwork, I always throw on a hat. If I don't there are hair products that have sunscreens in them. The sun can change the color so you should protect it - not to mention it's drying. Treat it just like you would your skin in the sun (if that makes sense, lol)

I would not dye my hair if I were you in your situation. Some detangling sprays have UV protection in them too.

I'd dye it anyway. If it's a dark, allover even colour, you can get a friend to do it for you with a drugstore dye.
