Dye transfer to clothes from bag

My husband just got me a beautiful small classic single flap c. 1989-91. It’s in absolutely beautiful condition and has been refurbished. There is a small amount of dye transfer coming from the bag, showing up on my clothes. Is there anything anyone knows of that I can treat it with to stop the dye transfer?

I would hesitate to apply anything myself. Personally I would ask a reputable leather repair company if there is anything they could do about the issue

Can you return it? I would not want to use a bag that is ruining my clothes

Best to take it to leather bag repair expert in your area. Do not attempt yourself to address it, due to the age of bag as well it’s still a delicate material.

Was it re-dyed? I’ve never experienced this with a bag in original condition.

Update: So, the authentication came back as it being in original condition and not refurbished - so it’s not that. I then went and spoke to a handbag repair specialist. He gave it a cleaning and sprayed with a leather nano coating, which seems to have stopped the little marks.
