Hi, I currently need some help. My parents have announced our spring break plans! We're going to Rome (it'll be my second time, their first) and I am deciding on a bag for the trip. I always spring for my trusty Pan Am 'Secret Agent Reloaded' for the plane, but I need to find something for carrying around the city. Right now, I have two choices (both from Coach): go on the outlet sale for the Crossbody Pouch in Legacy Jacquard (Milk), or high-tail it to the boutique for the Messenger Crossbody, probably in either the signature or the regular crossgrain leather. I'm currently a 16 year old guy in high school, so I'm looking for the best bang-for-my-buck, but I really want to buy something from the retail store so I have the experience, but I digress. Here's my dillemma: does the messenger crossbody come with a dustbag, or has anyone that's bought it asked and recieved one successfully? That's kinda my way of deciding which one to get, yes to dustbag= messenger, no= outlet pouch. Thanks!

Yes, what Suzanne said!

On a side note, I have the original Secret Agent bag and the larger Explorer; those PanAm bags get, hands down, THE most comments and compliments of any luggage or handbag I have ever dragged through an airport. EVERYONE covets the PanAm bag!

On a slightly-related note, can you buy or get extra dustbags from the stores? I seem to have misplaced the dustbag for my 1941 Duffle and it's sitting there lonely in my closet. =X

You could probably get one from a retail store. Just ask, tell them you lost it or you never received one and they'll probably give you one......this I've heard from others. I don't have a retail store near me, so I've not asked before.

I must have 30 in my closet. I don't use them. I have them from bags I own and bags I returned.

Not sure what to do with them all. I'm getting ready to give them to Good Will. I've wondered a few times if I just post on this board for people to send me a SASE, I can pop one in the mail. Not even sure if that is allowed with the rules.

Just wish I knew what to do with them.

I bet you could list them here: https://forum.purseblog.com/forums/want-to-sell.314/
There is a freebie section so you could just charge for the shipping.
I've been hoping to find one for my Balenciaga bag. I have plenty of Coach but it would be nice to have one to match the brand.

I actually need more dustbags myself, I have a few vintage bags just sitting in pillow cases because I don't have anything better. I can sometimes score an extra bag when I buy a Dinky. I tell them I like to store the chain in it's own bag so it doesn't mar the leather in storage. Which is true, I don't want it to! But those bags are usually too small for even small purses other than the Dinky.

BTW I heard at the outlet that they are starting to take the bags out of the FP deletes even if they are 1941. I bought a tea rose Dinky there that was a 1941 but it had no dustbag. And when I asked about it that was what I was told. The SA actually said she would get me a bag from the back even though she wasn't supposed to and she did. It was not a 1941 dustbag, it was one of the silky ones. It was nice of her in any case.

Ditto. I have a small vintage Coach Canteen Bag (1998) and a small Dooney AWL crossbody both without dust bags. Oh - and my Coach Beekman breifcase. I'd happily pay for shipping to cover these puppies.

Anyone know why I can't view this thread? This is the error message:

"You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action"

TIA

Ok, I'm going to make this as simple as I can. Anyone who wants to send me a SASE, I'll send a dust bag too. In fact, I'll send as many dustbags as you want. I have dustbags from about 2000 to 2017, so I have brown ones, white ones, etc.

Just PM me and I can give you my snail mail address.

I usually ask for an extra dustbag when I buy a mid-sized or larger bag in store; I like to keep my bags stuffed and having a bag filled with tissue paper is handy. They’ve always given me an extra silky one with no issue.
