Has anyone used their dust bags for non-closet storage? What did you do, and use it for?

I’m thinking of adding Velcro to a rarely used dust bag to create an insert to protect/secure my items inside my purses.

Do you mean using a dust bag to protect something in particular, like delicate jewellery or similar? If so, I think that’s a great idea. If you mean keeping your LV items inside dust bags inside your bag, I think for me that would be a step too far. I am careful with everything I own, but ultimately these items are for using as well as enjoying. I like that my LV key holders protect the other items in my bag from being scratched by my keys, but other than that I don’t worry about it.

I've been known to carry mine in the bag they belong to for travel - for example, I'll put the purse into the dust bag before I stuff the purse under my seat on the plane.. Etc
I used to ALWAYS lay mine down on the floor before setting my bag on top...after forgetting the 2nd one I've since stopped & switched a cheaper tote for plane carryon :/ Such a good idea to bring the dust bag tho...may have to start packing my smaller clutches in them!

Maybe opt for a bag organizer. I think it helps to protect the interior of the bag, and it helps keep smaller items in their own pocket so they don't bump against larger items. I use my dust bags mainly for storage when I'm not currently using a bag.
