Probably yes, if not more! The handles on the Neverfulls are thin, but they can hold that much, then I'm sure that the speedy can! Let's just say that my Mono speedy is the lightest, most carefree, AND durable bag in my collection! It seriously can take a lot of beating.

What will you be carrying in your speedy that makes you worry?

I've used my speedy for cabin luggage on a say trip, that thing held a lot!! teh onyl think worry about if overstuffing the bag but not so much the weight, if that makes any sense.

has anyone had the square brass piece that attaches the handle to the bag break? It seems fragile to me. Has the quality of that brass piece deteriorate. I seem to remember it being more sturdy on older speedies. The new ones don't even seem like brass.
