Hey, still sitting on my Cartier voucher having no idea what to go for.

Initially I leaned towards the new Panthère bracelet but no space left and not being eager to wear a hollow tube on my wrist. Plus, my 7 Loves are totally fine and no need / desire to get an 8th one.

So I listened to my SA who wants me to get a Dumont XL. Not sure though. As I have other watches and the XL is hand-winding it's a burden to re-wind and set the watch everytime. Or go for a Dumont Quartz? Yes, not really precious but no maintenance or chaning batteries for 6 years. And it's only half the price.

What about the 5 piece Trinity ring? Need to get a few for my voucher, though :giggle:

Or anyone any better ideas? Would love to get some VCA but my voucher is Cartier only. Just no clue whatsoever :confused1:

Don't get anything that your SA recommends if it's not what your heart desires. It kinda makes me suspicious. I'm sure your SA has your best interests at heart and knows your purchase history but in training, SAs are often told to guide customers to whatever makes the company's monthly/quarterly/annual KPI or push whatever's been laying around for a while. Sorry to be so cynical.

Love the Trinity, however many you can span with your voucher. There are so many wonderful variations, but I still think the ring should be 3 (the style was based on the traditional Russian wedding ring that combines the Holy Trinity) and not 5 unless there's a personal significance for the number 5.

It sounds like you have a fabulous collection already and plenty of items you can wear every day, so how about putting the voucher towards a fun frivolous piece that you might not otherwise consider? Are earrings a possibility? or a watch that makes your heart beat faster (doesn’t sound like the Dumont is it from your post above. (I’m personally a fan of the santos line)

Agree the Trinity 5 is a non-starter.
Cartier just released a number of new models at the Watches and Wonders trade show in Geneva that are creating quite a buzz.
-First-ever solar powered Cartier called SolarBeat Tank Must, stainless steel, 2 sizes, blue, green or black straps, non-animal leather bracelet, priced $2400-2600.
-Must tank in burgundy, blue or green, alligator strap, price TBD. These are cute, and I predict will be snapped up fast.
-Cartier privé collection Cloche de Cartier, bell-shaped dial, in-house automatic movement, various dial colours and metals, limited edition, $27-31,000. This will be a collector‘s item.
Happy shopping!
