Ladies I am not affiliated with them at all but was in my favorite consignment shop in NJ which I know some of you have dealt with. I myself do not have or sell any Hermes bags.

They had an incredible amount of Hermes bags. Too many to list. I guess the economy is really making people re-think what they have. The selection was huge in various sizes and colors.

Hope some of you Tpfr's can score something you really want.

I believe they have been listed here as a trusted seller and some Tpf'rs have sold bags as well. Maybe search TPF.

I have not purchased Hermes but have purchased and sold other bags. You can always call them if you want. I am not affiliated with them in anyway.

Good luck

The owner indicated that she takes the bags into the H boutique to authenticate, but I recall a thread where many members said H will not authenticate like that and that one must attempt to send a bag in for spa to "test" authenticity. I only worry bc of the very good knock-offs that Luxury Zurich mentioned seeing recently. Obviously, it wouldn't be their intent to sell a fake.

Prices are excellent. On non-hermes stuff, it is 1/2 retail. I believe there have been many on TPF who have consigned with them and they made great deals with Lynn, the owner.

I bought my BBB from Duet. She was in great condition, and the price was reasonable. Not crazy cheap (which would have worried me), but not a huge markup like some of the eBay resellers. I remember that she had several other Birkins at the time I bought mine.

When I bought about a year and a half ago, they were at first reluctant to ship out of state. However, I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant, so wasn't going to fly out from CA to pick the bag up. I've heard that with the bad economy (and probably now that they've done it a few times) they are more willing to ship. Once they had agreed to do it, it was a very easy transaction.

They have a page on their website with information about consigning, though it doesn't say what cut of the price they keep. I think like I heard it was 20-40% when I was trying to figure out where to consign my bag, but I did not hear that from the store directly, so just take that as a ballpark figure rather than a certainty.

Consignment splits may be different for H bags, but generally they do a 50/50 split, which is a bit high compared to some other resellers. They attribute the higher consignment fee to the fact that she only sells in a brick and mortar store, so her costs are higher (wages, insurance, rents). I think this also contributes to the bags moving more slowly since one would only know about the availability of the bags from word of mouth or if one lives in the vacinity.

But my understanding is that with Hermes bags, it is nowhere near a 50/50 split. I believe there may have been a thread about this before. I know with LVs and other brands, its 50/50 but not Hermes.
