Went to the Dior boutique yesterday to purchase charms for my ABCDior. I looked at a couple of Lady Diors (one pink and one in a light beige color) and the lambskin was extremely dry. It felt rough to the touch because of how dry it was.

Is this normal? Is it just usually seen in display pieces? Or does lambskin really dry out that badly?

I was really surprised cos my ABCDior is smooth and so supple.

Brand new bags sometimes have leather that feels drier, because the leather has not formed a patina. Leather tends to get more supple and shiny over time with use. The dry feeling is sometimes due to the texture that was printed on the leather (or the natural grain).
