Hey girls! I'm graduating in about two months, so I'm looking for a nice outfit to wear to the ceremony. It will also be an "investment piece" for my future job as a high school teacher.
There are no restrictions as to the color or style of the garment under the gown.
Want to help me choose? All the garments are MBMJ (I think) and all are a size 10. The suit is the least expensive (unless the bidding shoots up before the auction ends) and the other three have reasonable BINs for which I could use my last live.com discount.

Option #1: White dress with gold brocade

Option #2: Black dress with built in tie around the waist

If this is a piece you're going to wear at school, I would say option 2!

It's definitely a practical item that you could dress up or dress down so you can get a lot of use out of it, and it can be worn with TONS of other colors/patterns.

I would say option 1 is my second choice. A little dressier, but still very neutral and sooo cute.

Congrats on your pending graduation!!!

Hands down number 2 becuase of its versatility. You could put a blazer over it for chiily days days in the classrom or put some statement jewelry on and go out on the town. For graduation it is sophisticated and flirty, which are great feelings to exude on a day of celebration!

Aaack! I'm definitely feelin' number 2. I asked the seller for some measurements, so I hope she gets back to me soon. Thanks to all who have answered so far, and everybody else, feel free to chime in!
My boyfriend like the white/gold dress the best, fwiw.

For versatility you can't beat #2 - it's so pretty and could be dressed up or down. Plus there's nothing about it that's trendy or that you're likely to get tired of quickly. #1 is gorgeous but wouldn't be nearly as versatile or work in the classroom. Congratulations on accomplishing this goal!! What will you be teaching?
