Workplace Dream Job?

I love love loooove working in a cafe! too bad I would be laughed out if I'd go now and apply for a place with my masters degree in completely something else than food and beverage  maybe I just need to open my own place so that I can make it happen if nothing else works. I love all the fabulous smells (anything else that does not come from bin) and making special coffee drinks for people! :amuse:

I have a master's degree too... now I regret getting it because there's lots of jobs (such as working at a cafe) that I would love to do, but would be "silly" of me to do. *sigh*

I used to do fun jobs while I worked full time: working as event staff, teaching sports, etc. You should think about working or volunteering a few hours a week/month or temporary at a job you are curious about. It's like hosting a party! And you won't have regrets or wonder what it would be like. It might make you happier in your day job, too. Or help you practice a skill (like PR/hospitality/customer service) that you don't get to practice in your day job.

As a child I wanted to be an actress.

Now I'm in medical school and want to be a brain surgeon. Go figure. I love medicine, feel good when I help people, like working with my hands, and the human brain is one of the most fascinating subjects.

Racheal, the brain is fascinating, I agree.

My dream job is a management consultant. I'm doing a BA (or maybe its a BSc, I don't even know) in an honours psychology specialist where I get to do a thesis, and take employment relations courses on the side. Then I want to do an MBA and help with the organization and motivation of workers in big companies or the government. Management and revolutionizing management is very exciting to me.
