MADONNA
Kinky boots were made for strutting: Madonna hid her hangover well as she arrived at CBS studios in New York yesterday
She is undisputed queen of the reinvention but this time Madonna appears to have turned to an unlikely fashion icon for inspiration.
Draped in a mass of heavy-weight gold chains, the singer seemed to have modelled look on The A Team's Mr T.
Madge showed off the necklaces - worth a staggering £18,000 - as she appeared on an American TV show to promote her latest album Hard Candy. She paired the jewellery with a £20,000 Fendi fur coat and a £600 pair of Stella McCartney thigh-high boots.
Madonna, who turns 50 in August, performed a 35-minute set in front of a 2,000-plus crowd at the Roseland Ballroom to coincide with the release of her new album.
