Double strap on Alexa

I've seen a few girls around who has some buckled the long Alexa strap to be a double strap, but for some reason, I can't get it right... the buckle becomes loose...

Can someone please enlighten me how I get the double strap?

I'm loving this forum more and more!
I double strap my Miu Miu Bows bag but never thought about doing it for the Alexa!

I have an oversized Alexa and because i'm short (5ft) i find that the strap is slightly on the longer side!
