Hi ladies! :salute: I havent been to this board for a while as I was on a ban and the temptation was just too great lol but I'm baaaccckkkk! I took advantage of Saks deferred deal this past weekend and finally got myself a pair of studded VPs Ive been wanting! They just came in, but I'm going to wait until my second item comes in before posting pics. 2 questions:

1. I know these studs ran really small, but my SA told me to get my normal size (36) which I did and he also said they started at size 36, so I couldnt size down to a 5.5 anyway! I thought I saw others commenting about 35.5 sizes. Do they exist? Or is it boutiques only?

2. Does anyone else have to double pad any of their shoes? I have a ball of foot pad in them and they are still loose. I am out of heel pads so I am going to get some tomorrow, but I'm still a bit concerned over whether they will still slip, as well as even just the idea of double padding a shoe because to me that almost screams that they dont fit. Other than the slippage issue, the toe and sides fit fine. Anyone else either double pad, or even have any slipping problems with their studded VPs?

I am in love with these shoes, but I am also feeling that paying $1,000 for a pair of shoes that dont fit properly is hard to swallow.

Thanks ladies. I'm now going to start hanging around here much more often as I miss it here so much. Pls let me know what you think.

I dont have the studded VPs but I do double pad some of my shoes (ie Bianca). I always start with ball of foot, if thats still too big, I add a heel pad or I double up on the ball of foot pad. Different combos work for different ppl and different shoes. Good luck!

saks usually carries 36 as their smallest size, but the boutiques do go lower in size.... even down to 34.5 for some styles.

it sounds like 36 is too big for you, and if you have to double pad now, imagine what will happen when it breaks in and stretches. i would try to find a 35.5 or even a 35 if you still can, and return the 36.

however, if this is the last pair out there (i know they've sold out in many places), then maybe you don't have any other choice but to keep them, with double padding and all.

good luck! :flowers:

Thanks carlinha. Unfortunately if I return these, I cant keep my deferred payments with Saks. I completely forgot about the stretching as its been several months since my last purchases, but I am *crossing fingers* and hoping that with heel grips as well, they might be a bit tight at first, but stretch to be comfortable. Will try tomorrow, but my excitement of my new shoes went from :yahoo: to :s :shucks: in just 5 minutes. lol

I got my usual shoe size, a 38.5, when I'm a 8.5 in most American shoes. They were a little tight, but definitely stretched the first time I wore them. I don't know, I would worry that they might stretch. I don't think its worth spending that much to be disappointed later. My shoe SA at Saks is adament that I get my CLs snug, otherwise she says they'll stretch not to fit.
