Hello ladies!! I have been on vacation and MIA. Also having trouble logging on as much without the app :-(

I recently picked up a Suede Derby North South tote in Tan. It's so pretty but I have no experience with suede. I got an amazing sale (77% off) so I think I'm going to keep it. But curious if any of you have experience with the Dooney suede??

I just used my suede Dooney today and I was thinking about how durable it is.

I sprayed mine when I got it almost a year ago and I've used it a ton ever since. I haven't reapplied but it's been fine even when it got a little wet in the rain.

My only complaint is that the rich color rubbing against my white jeans turned my jeans green like my bag, and it was super hard to get it out!

Oh man, that stinks that it rubbed off on your pants. Usually I have the opposite problem, lol, my jeans staining a lighter bag. I wasnt sure about the durability and the rain so that's great to know. I couldn't believe the amazing price I got so I also figured if it became a beat around bag that's ok, but really I like to keep my bags in great condition. It's great to hear I should be able to do that, thanks for the great info!!

Dooney claims its suede needs no spray, that it is treated to hold up to water. I have never gotten mine wet, but I do know such suede exits as I have many pairs of boots made of it. I missed what color your bag is, but I have always regretted spraying light colored suedes as it yellows them after time.

I love Dooney suede and have several bags. They are fairly light weight and easy to carry. I have never treated mine with anything to protect the suede and it has been fine. I have used in rain, sleet, snow with no problems. HTHs :).

BW: I have limited personal experience with Dooney suede, as my suede bags are used very rarely and never in bad weather. But a friend had a dusty blue Dooney suede she used every day. The bag held up well, and she loved it, but tossing it around and having it fall on the car floor resulted in the suede getting dirty. Maybe if it had been brushed regularly, it might have made a difference. But after a season the entire bag just looked dingy.
I think the risk with a tan suede would be dirt and color transfer onto the bag.
