The short handles are a nice option for those of us who hand carry bags.
Yes, they add weight. I do wish the shoulder strap was detachable,
I'm sure others would prefer a 3 part strap and don't care about the handles. 😁
It's a heavy handbag. I wonder if the pebbled leather version is
just as weighty as the Florentine (2 lbs 9 oz, per QVC listing).
This much hated peg and hole strap on the buckley can be totally removed . I like that the o rings are big enough to hold a few straps at the same time. I’m interested to see this bag in person. I find it refr that dooney is making the silhouettes in all the different leathers
that sweety leather bag looks so much like the Hermes Lindy silhouette

Very nice to see new goodies from dooney. It’s very unique. I would love to touch it and see how it feels. Is it leather, coated cotton, or canvas?
I happened to have QVC on when they showed this item. It's coated cotton.
The pattern looks like a woven, but it's a printed Dooney coated cotton.
I like the barrel style and the look of the woven. Dooney novelty prints are fun
to add to a collection and woven bags are very big now even among the very
high end brands.
Over the years I've collected a few of the Dooney floral coated cotton/canvas prints.
I prefer them as an accent to a solid or tonal color outfit. I do not think of a print
handbag as a neutral to be worn with anything. But that's just me.
When 'styled' the print handbags are a great wardrobe addition.
I may be a leather handbag snob, but I do love color and florals, and
some of the Dooney prints. And if I wait long enough, I can often find
a good sale on a Dooney print after the season has passed. It's easier to justify
purchasing a bag that will get only occasional wear when the price is so much
lower. Of course it's hard to justify another handbag (in dollars and cents) when
you have a 'collection'. 🤣 But at least I'm not buying bags that cost
thousands (or tens of thousands) of dollars each. 😮

I noticed on this new bag they put separate D rings on the handles so the strap doesn't attach directly to the handle like the zip zip satchels. I still prefer the strap to hook on the side.
I prefer the strap to hook on the side also. But I usually hand carry, so it's not a major issue for me. But those extra D rings should allow the handles to fold down when the
strap is attached. Without the extra D rings it's sometimes hard to keep the handles
out of the way. I think the extra D rings are a big upgrade.

And I noticed from the pic on QVC, that the strap is easily long enough to be
cross body.... also a big improvement. Strap is only a 2 part strap, but of course
you can change it out since it's the most used Dooney strap color.
I just reread the description of this bag on QVC... the coated cotton is more than
half PVC!!!!!
