She nailed it. Needs a full size shoulder strap or at the very least a detachable strap so the skinny one doesn't have to be cut off in order to add your own.
I love the pgl zip clutch! In fact I ordered another in caramel this a.m. It is heavier than the continental clutch (standard wallet) but it fits in the hand so well. Each time I carry it I'm reminded that it's really comfortable to carry!

This is a great bag. The size and shape work well as a cross body or shoulder bag....
except the strap is too narrow and not detachable. Yes, it's a roomy bag,
but compact and works well for those who can't downsize to really small handbags...
that's me. But even when I could wear a bag cross body or on my shoulder
(I have difficulty now due to arthritis), the strap was too narrow to support
the weight of the bag when it was filled up.
Until Dooney decides to make the strap detachable, I think the best bet
is to just add a guitar strap and ignore the narrow strap, or cut it off. 😮😮😮😮😮

I don't remember which thread we touched on Dooney locations, but I finally
got an answer: "We do not have any other retail stores, only outlet stores."
It took multiple emails to Dooney CS. I guess that no one there remembers
when they had the boutique retail stores., so they didn't understand
my question. Sad that they have closed all the boutiques.

These sales are torture! Every time (three times so far) I put a bag in my cart I remove it just before checking out. I'm being impulsive because the prices are great, and I want to do a "No Spend January". But what makes more sense is waiting until I see something I'll really use often, even if it's in January. Hopefully after I post this I will not go back to ILD.
For example:I almost bought a red Janine because of my GDD's friend. I like the structure of Janine but it has no outside zipper pocket, and I'm worried about things falling out on the sides where the flap doesn't cover. BUT! Here's the real crazy part about this: I bought a red Janine in 2011 or 2012 at Macy's and I returned it because I didn't like the way the crossbody strap made the flap lift when I carried it crossbody. So why am I thinking about it again? Desperately trying to take advantage of the sales before year end.
I don't have this bag in suede, but I have owned some Dooney suede over the years.
It's beautiful. I'd stick with a darker color. Personally, I'd go for black, navy or dark brown...
I like the contrast of the dark suede with the medium brown trim color.
And I think the black, navy and dark brown suede are the richest looking colors...
the most deeply saturated.
Lighter color suede can get dirty and be difficult to clean.
The pale blue mini is back. It just jumped in my cart, I am not mad at her for jumping right in. uh um at this sale price the brown tmoro climbed in too… I am here for them both. I love the Ivy mini size. I figured I would take advantage of the sale. And I’ll be DONE for awhile….. I have to start getting myself together for retirement WOOT WOOT!

The price is good. I figure this size works, fits everything I want it to minus my iPad. Pale blue will be perfect for spring and summer, I wanted this color in my collection. Brown tmoro is just so dark and lovely. I’m STILL NOT ready for black, but this is dark enough to substitute and hopefully will be ok in wet weather. As I said before Im Getting everything I want now before retirement. I feel I have a nice variety of sizes to carry.
