I ordered the Tilton crossbody from dooney.com. They shipped via UPS and it was supposed to be delivered September 2. Why did UPS drop my package at the post office instead of delivering to my door? if UPS had not sent my package to the post office, I would have my Tilton. has anyone had this happen where UPS sent your package to the post office instead of delivering to your front door?

yes, I've had this happen. I get your frustration; I'm always anxious to get my packages

Yes, it’s called UPS smart post which seems like more work to me. I have gone to the post office when I‘ve seen that the package was transferred to the post office. One time I got my package, another time the postal worker acted like he wouldn’t know where to find it.

I don't think the PO here would go looking for a package. we get our mail down the street at a locked box. I request updates and when I see it's delivered, I go down there and pick it up

And with the holiday weekend, I'm guessing the tracking and handoff are
delayed. Many companies use UPS/USPS smart post service. I'm assuming it cost
them less than having UPS deliver to every address (depending upon location).
Just keep tracking, starting Tuesday, when normal business operations should
resume.

Yes, it's frustrating and can delay packages, sometimes by a day or more...
depending upon weekend/holdiay/or just logistics.
And don't worry (yet) that UPS says they handed it off and the Post Office doesn't show
they have it yet. Sometimes it's just delayed tracking. Hopefully your package
is just waiting for the post office to get their act together and deliver it on the
next work day.

It's ridiculous, the post office never deliver my dooney and burke in a timely manner. They are just super slow

I've had good experience with the PO lately. I got a priority mail package (sent within CA) the next day. Right now I have something that's delayed but if delivered tomorrow it will be two days later than originally forecasted.

I’ve had a few of my packages missent, is what the post office said in the tracking, and received a week later. I was happy it wasn’t lost. With the holiday I’m sure they’re behind on a many deliveries.
