Hi,

I've enjoyed reading all the Coach rehab threads on here and have had so much fun doing my own. (I can't believe I'm saying that, but it's true.:D)

I have my eye on an AWL Dooney & Bourke that would need a rehab as well, but can't find anything on the forum about how I might fix it up if I do decide to buy it. I've done searches and found comments here and there, but nothing I can use.

The bag has some minor and one or two major, scratches and some undetermined type of soiling in a couple of places but the leather is so different from what I'm used to that I'm stumped. As you know, the AWL bags are the hard not soft, type of leather and this one is also pebbled in some areas.

Can anyone offer me some advice?

Thank you in advance.

Here is a D&B AWL I re-habbed using Apple cleaner and conditioner.

I have quite a few vintage Dooneys(11) and have had great success using Murphy's oil soap. The link below will show you how to do it..

Ok. So that's an eye opener for me! Thanks for the link.

What about scratches? Do you know of any way to remove/minimize them? I'm thinking of scratches specifically on the brown leather that's normally the trim and on the bottom. That seems really tricky if not impossible, to me.
