Donut Strap- Regular or Chunky?

Hey TPF Friends! Owners of the Donut Chain, regular or Chunky… how do feel about it? Is it comfortable on the shoulder? Does is slip off? Is it heavy? Does it tarnish over time? Is it functional or more for dressing a bag up? I’m interested in adding one (leaning towards the chunky donut) to a Bottle Greeen Small Flamenco. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a donut chain (Resin) in Angora/Gold to match my small flamenco. I compared Chunky, Regular and Resin donuts. The weight was Regular > Resin > Chunky. I'd have picked Chunky if there was no matching color in Resin. It's been only 3 months, but I don't see any discoloring or tarnish.
I love my flamenco with a donut chain! It does look more dressy. It doesn't slip off from my shoulder, but it digs up a bit. With a t-shirts, I feel its weight so I don't stuff the bag. With a thick sweater or jacket, I carry more because I don't feel its weight as much. I wish I can attach a leather strap and donut chain together so I can switch them when my shoulder gets tired. Unfortunately, the rings inside the bag are not big enough to attach both.

For me the golden Donut chain doesn't work with the Flamenco clutch, because the bag is too big and heavy if it's stuffed. The chain also is heavy and it hurts my shoulder too much.

And as @casadelpi said, it's impossible to attach both, the leather strap AND the donut chain together to alternate between the two if the chain isn't comfortable to wear.

I wear the gold chain only with the Mini Flamenco for diners and evenings.

I have a mini flamenco and the regular gold donut chain. It fits on the rings with the leather strap on my bag. I use the gold for evenings and the leather strap for day. I think because the mini is so light, strap does not dig in at all, the weight helps keep it from slipping off the shoulder. Love having both options

This is my experience as well. While using the gold donut chain, I just tuck the leather strap into the bag instead of removing it. So much less hassle. I love it.

I love the regular size. The new jade or stone versions are so gorgeous too
