yep, they do it to just put an element of doubt in your mind

I would rather they give an offer than to say that the price is too high. It's a 2 way traffic and even if it is high, they can just look else where for other deals. Sometimes even when the price is reasonable, there are still others who claims that it's unreasonable.
I wrote back and said I wasn't forcing anyone to bid on my items!
