I've fallen in love with one of the floral prints from Dolce & Gabbana's new collection. I love the heels and the Sicily bag in the print. Question for you: do you think I'd get more and better use out of the heels or the bag? Or is one nicer than the other? I'm not going to buy both, so that can't be the easy solution :D I've got plenty of bags and shoes and don't really need one more than the other. Thanks!!

I guess I'm thinking the shoes are really fun and different. I think you'd be OK with them being white as long as you aren't hiking in them  How much are these pieces, that may make a difference too. Beautiful!

Thanks for the advice! The bag is more expensive than the shoes. Shoes are in the $600-$700 range, while the bag runs from $1,300 to about $2,000 depending on the size the where it's bought. I agree that price is a factor, but I want to leave that out of it for the moment :D

I understand, I was just curious. I don't think you often find shoes with a sophisticated print-I can see wearing them with all the colors in the shoe obviously. They are a real stand out item. The purse may actually be harder to wear since it's closer to your clothing and may be harder to simplify as an outfit. I like that the colors are unusual-when are you going to find a show with flowers like that again?

I can't walk in heels that high, so I will need to enjoy thinking about you walking thru NY in these.

Both are beautiful, either way its a fun accessory....which way are you leaning?

That's really helpful. I think I'm leaning toward the shoes for the reasons you suggest. Plus, I don't have a beautiful floral shoe, and I really want one. I kick myself for letting go a beautiful Paul Andrew floral pump from last year. And there's so much more flower on the shoe than on the bag, and I'm attracted to the purple of the flower. But then again, the bag is so precious. Oh, who knows?

Pumps!
I have a Sicily bag which I like a lot, but in this instance I prefer the pumps. Love the purple heel and trim, it gives them an edge. I prefer the purple trim on the pumps to the gold hardware on the bag, but that's very much a personal preference. Also, Dolce & Gabbana make really comfortable heels. gail13 makes some good points too.
FYI I haven't experienced any problems with my white leather shoes or bags either :smile1:

Definitely shoes.

Shoes are elegant and unexpected and easier to pair with outfits. And creative without being over the top. Very Easter-y too. :smile1:

Bag is trendy. What does a floral bag say about you anyway? I have not figured that out. I'm definitely a solid-color bag girl.

Maybe it was something I saw in my childhood, IDK... :shrugs:
