Wow, so my hubby thinks its ridiculous to spend 400+ on a purse, even if its my own saved up christmas money birthday money etc. He thinks I should spend it on things I only "Need." Sooo I bought a new neverfull mm with some of my "slush" fund, and I have to tell him that my mom bought it for me at a purse party, to avoid an argument. I hate having to tell a little white lie; but we are welll of- but still. Does anyone else understand or have similar experiences? To women that hubbys buy them these exspensive purses, after years of marrige, consider yourselfs LUCKY, not all of us women have hubbys that understand our exspensive taste.

I definately consider myself lucky to have a wonderful loving husband that not only goes to LV with me, he even surprises me with bags on occassion! But on the same token, i do the same for him...and support his purchases.

You are not alone my DF hates when I buy LV but,I work and make my own money sooo im not going to let that stop me from buying LV Besides,he plays a ton of golf so he can't say much.

oh that sucks for sure! When I buy a bag my bf doesn't like he gives me the "no-no" look, and i turn and give him the pout and the game is over, i win; however, he's not against me buying LV, since he buys them as surprises for me too, so I guess i am considered lucky :D

Awwww how sweet, thats nice you guys do that. I have a wonderfull job as well as my hubby and still I ask my hubby if I bought him a Gucci wallet or LV wallet, would he like it? And he still says nooooo. he says he would rather have a coach outlet wallet. LoL I just don't understand. Hes the type of guy that says he would RATHER have a HUGE beautiful house, and drive 1990 honda accords, and not have a nice flashy car. I don't understand him sometimes hahaha. his sisters and aunts are worse than me at shoppin. A man raised around tons of fashionable woman, you would think would understand haha

I'm VERY FORTUNATE my sweet husband understands my addiction and is very supportive. But then again, we also race cars and when sticky tires, racing shocks and other parts show up on my door step I don't freak out either so I guess we even each other out :hugs:

No, my dh just wants me to be happy. Purses are my only obsession. I don't smoke or drink at all. I buy my clothing anywhere as long as I think it's cute. Old Navy, Target and JCPenneys are my favorite places. Now, he would get upset if I made a purchase that we clearly couldn't afford.

I dont think you're alone here :-S
I also have to tell the ocassional white lie to get by, I guess this is the price we pay. I try to justify it by saying I don't shop that often for other things, i.e many women will go out and spend maybe $500 on general clothes shopping per month but I just keep it for bags! :-D

Only one time he got upset and with reason b/c I went to NY for a funeral and came back with a purse..so he thought I was insensitive.. and he got upset... but it was the opposite I was so sad I needed something to cheer me up and what better than an LV

I do consider myself very lucky that my hubby would not only go LV shopping with me everytime, he would give me honest opnion and pay for them as well. Mind you, I don't spend that much, maybe a bag and a small item every 2 months. But still, I am very lucky to have him. We are each other's soul mate! :smooch:

only if I charge them. as long as I have saved for them and am not using credit cards he's fine with it :O).. Not that he doesn't think $1000 is alot for a bag he does but he gets it.

my boyfriend doesn't pay for my bags but he still doesn't think i should buy them (men, hey? sorry forum men, not all of you!).
if we were married, i'm sure he would disagree with it even more!

Probably not upset, but he will disapprove if I buy too frequently or on very expensive pieces...so in most cases I would tell him I just bought a new purse, but not disclose the price (then he got curious and kept probing!).
