I will be watching this thread with interest. My hope is they would stand by their house's name and be able to do the repair. Let's see what others who have experience with this say. Enamel can be really beautiful.
Yes. They can restore vintage items. I’ve seen them restore a fraternity trophy from the 1800s.
However, I don’t think enamel is usually reparable. Sadly. Even for their current offerings.
Can't speak to enamel, but to answer the title of the thread, yes.
Yes as to vintage. Re enamel, I think they would have to examine and it might be a case by case basis. I did google it, and there are one or two enamel jewelry repair places in NY, but the heat process of repair, may cause damage to other areas @nd there may be other reasons. Pls keep us posted! Good luck![]()
Hi, yes, I have/had several vintage Tiffany pieces in 14K. They used it in 90s or so, they were using both 14K and 18K. Then they switched to 18K only. There is a even quote by Tiffany's artistic director back then that they only use 14k and 18K gold and not 22K gold because it's too soft, you can search it online. So yes, it's legit.Speaking of vintage Tiffany, does anyone know of a reliable authentication service? I recently purchased a vintage tiffany bracelet from a Japanese seller on eBay. After the fact I noticed it was 14k gold. I thought Tiffany only used 18k, but after researching online I have seen other tiffany vintage items that are 14k. Does anyone know anything about this?
