I bought this off of The Real Real for $9400 (what a steal) and it arrived today. It is the small size which is perfect because I have tiny wrists. The thing that I question is that the head and tail do not overlap as much as I see in this forum and the tail sticks up a bit. Not sure if it is stretched out but looks to be in the right shape when not on my wrist. Is this a problem of the bracelet being stretched out ? Would you return?

I take it back. Upon closer inspection, it is misshapen. Would you return? It otherwise looks good and it was 25% Off with the recent price increase.

My serpenti bracelet has not deformed, even after 3 years. But that looks like an easy fix for the store?

Personally, I’m not that bothered if an item needs repair, since I always account for the fact that jewelry repairs are inevitable if you wear a piece a lot. I would just DIY it myself with a towel and some soft mallet to see if the tail can be lowered, since it looks like it might have lifted from snagging on a sweater. But I can’t advise that you try that…

I’d return the bracelet if the store can’t do anything about it, or if the fee is a lot.

It's my understanding (please correct me if wrong) that to reshape this bracelet they need to take it apart and reform the internal wire then put the scales back on. It's not a simple fix they can do in store.

I already returned it. It just bothered me too much to keep it.
If anyone is on TRR, keep a look out because the misshapenness was not disclosed.
i think that was smart, too much to deal with. If you want more overlap between head and tail you'll need to find one that's been made like that (can't bend it into that shape later). They're all made a little differently, when I got mine I purposefully selected one with more overlap. It can be a bit of a hunt getting this bracelet bc of the lack of standardization! But worth it - it's such a great piece!

What size is your wrist? It could also be too small for you? From what I know they are all sized differently as well (despite their sizing). I tried on a few 15 and 16 and all overlapped differently.
