Does the logo on the Cabas totes eventually rub off?

I just received a horizontal Cabas tote in black. It's so lovely but I do have one question. Does the gold Celine Paris Made In Italy logo eventually rub off? Since the leather is thin and delicate, I can imagine in time the gold stamp would eventually begin to disintegrate from the rubbing of my arm.

My luggage tote has been fine, but that's a totally different type of bag.

Can anyone who owns a Cabas tote shed some light on how that one area holds up?

Thanks so much

Same as the above commenters - my black horizontal zipper cabas will be 3 years old in September and there is no evidence of wear on the logo at all.

The logos on all 3 of my 2011 Cabas are still like the day I got them. I don't think you have to worry unless you hold the bag where the logo is. I know of some other smaller leather goods (like wallets/clutches) that will have the logo fade off with repeated wear and tear and handling.

I have a vertical cabas and a phantom cabas--the logos on both are intact:smile:
I actually took a look at the Phantom Cabas today for the first time because one of my SA's said that the regular Cabas does not hold up well, leather wise since it's so thin and flimsy. Do you love your Phantom Cabas? Would you say it's better than the regular one? There is about a $400 difference.
