Does the leather of a BBag lose its shiny look ?

Bonjour from France. I went saturday in a french boutique in Toulouse selling Bbag and many beautiful things. I just wanted to see the City and the Work Bbags. I don't really like the shiny aspect of the leather, does this one lose its "shiny" after a few weeks ? Merci. Florence.

Some of the bags do. My 09 black city was shiny when I got it in April now it is more matt looking. I think the older bags tend too keep the shine more than the newer ones IMO.
