Does the Chanel 2.55 Reissue Tote need a base shaper?

Hi PTFers!

Just got a bronze 2.55 tote and I'm curious if it needs a base shaper like the LV Neverfull bags. I believe the leather is distressed lambskin and since I don't own any bags with that type of leather, I'm not sure how it would wear over time. Would the leather get stretched out if I carry a lot of stuff and would it get scratches easily? Any comments would be much appreciated!

I have the black one for 6 months and hold the shape pretty good but I only used it a couple of times. This kind of leather is so durable plus it's an aged calf skin. The base is not as soft as Neverfull though and it's more narrower.. I'll just use it as is.

I've had one for a couple of months and the based doesn't sag. If anything the sides buckle when it really full...

I've had one for months and I don't think it needs a shaper at all! I agree with mp4 about the sides though..

Thanks everyone for your help! If it doesn't need a base shaper, then I'm probably not gona buy one, unless I use this purse everyday (which I won't b/c it'll be my new baby lol)
