Does the big logo bother you

I tend to buy more understated bags (well Chanel does have a small cc on front and Prada small logo, I’m ok with those). I’m thinking of buying a YSL bag with the big YSL logo on front. Does it bother you? Am I being picky ? I like some of the YSL bags but am hesitant for some reason.

Some of the YSL bags I’ve seen recently were lovely, but the logo is too prominent for me. I saw some young women carrying crossbodies on a flight a few months ago and I found them beautiful…but just not right for me. (It did cause me to look at them online)

The large logo does bother me. I used to own the toy loulou which I sold because of the large logo but I still think it’s a lovely bag. I also find some of the ysl clutches to be elegant, but I am just not a large logo person. I don’t like to wear anything that is obviously designer, because doing so makes me feel like I am advertising for the brand. It really comes down to how comfortable you are with logos. No right or wrong and no matter of being picky. It’s just a preference and you should wear what you’re comfortable with.

I agree with you. I don't love large logos either. They feel conspicuous and I agree with Earthygirl above, that it makes me feel like I am advertising for the brand. Totally a matter of personal preference of course and there's no right or wrong way to look at it. Go with your gut either way.

For me the logo isn’t much of a problem because I love the YSL one.

Despite that I like to have some variety in my collection and there are days I don’t want to show too much of a branding.
Therefore I am okay with having some Saint Laurent bags but I also appreciate my more understated bags from Loewe or Celine.

With YSL I tend to love the all black versions with the black hardware or the antique silver more then the ones with the shiny hardware.
I don’t see myself carrying an envelope bag with they shiny gold for example.

This! I decided YSL was my next bag purchase because their customer service is amazing and I feel like they have earned my business. I think their logo is cool but I also don't like large logo's for the same advertising reason. But the black on black still has the cool logo but is not ostentatious. There is a black on black lou in my near future.

One large logo doesn't bother me, but I don't like when there are logos/monograms all over a bag. That said, I do live somewhere right now where big flashy logos aren't a good idea. I have a YSL wristlet, but if I'm walking around, I just make sure the logo is facing me instead.

I don't normally go for big logos but I love the YSL logo. I think it looks edgy and cool in antique silver and especially in black. All my SL bags are the antique silver ones but I have been lusting after the black hardware sunset for a long time now, and I feel like I should just buy it.

Some logos I like some I don't. The YSL logo I like. If it bothers you now it would probably still bother you if you bought a bag with a large logo. There are bags out there with minimal logos including some Saint Laurent bags. I have a YSL Tribeca bag that I like because it doesn't have a big logo.
