Does stingray leather flake/do scales come off over time?

Hey guys! I was just wondering if any of you guys have had anything from BV in stingray. Has it flaked or chipped at all? It's going to be either that or lizard (for a wallet.)

Oh, I am wondering about stingray, too! It looks durable, but does anyone have a bag made from this type of leather?

Stingray is one of the most durable exotics.

It's heavy and stiff so best on small pieces like a wallet regardless what make.

I believe it was once used as armour. By the samurais back in the old days.
